- Both Men and Women
- Finisher Medals
This race honors the late NYRR president and New York City Marathon co-founder, Fred Lebow (1932–1994). The course is two-plus loops of Central Park, which can be a challenge in January! Join the mid-winter fun and camaraderie—and perhaps kick off your training for a spring marathon. You'll have lots of good-spirited company, and you can enjoy classical music (Fred's favorite) at the start as well as inspiring Fred quotes along the course!
Live unofficial results are available during the race at liveresults.nyrr.org. Features include leaderboards, map tracking, and an individual runner search that can be shared on Facebook and Twitter. Tell your friends and family to follow your progress, and get unofficial results right after the race!
Prepare to crush two-plus loops of Central Park with the help of our 10-week NYRR Fred Lebow Half-Marathon Virtual Trainer program.

Show the QR code from your race confirmation email or your NYRR account to pick up your race materials. Please pick up during the week to avoid crowds on race day. Race-day lines may impact your ability to get to the start on time. Hats are subject to availability; please note that hats may not be available at race-day pickup.
If you're unable to pick up your race materials, a friend or family member can pick up for you; the person will need your QR code (printed or digitally). This policy is in effect only for our weekly races, and not for the TCS New York City Marathon.
On race day, pickup will be at Race-Day Central, located at the west end of the 102nd Street Cross Drive in Central Park, from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. Bag check will be available at the same location and will be open from 6:30 to 11:30 a.m. Please be sure to allow yourself enough time to get from Race-Day Central to the start.
The race starts on West Drive in Central Park near 94th Street and brings runners over two-plus loops within the park. Participants will run south on West Drive, turning left at the 72nd Street Transverse, and then left again onto East Drive.
The course then continues on East Drive through the Harlem Hills before passing the start line on West Drive. Runners will complete a second loop of the same route, and then run a shortened third loop before finishing on the 102nd Street Cross Drive near East Drive.
Members of the NYRR Pace Team Presented by Biofreeze will guide participants toward specific goal times over the 13.1 miles. There will be signs in the corrals starting at 6:51 per mile, or a 1:30 finish time. If you choose to run with a pace group, pacers—you’ll recognize them by the NYRR Pace Team Presented by Biofreeze logo and the green and blue chevron design—will carry signs that correspond with their respective finish times and paces. Check back soon for a list of paces and finish times that team members will run.
Check back closer to race day for more information about how to find NYRR Pace Team members in your corral.
