New York Road Runners serves nearly 600,000 runners of all ages and abilities annually through hundreds of races, community open runs, walks, training sessions, and other running-related programming, with nearly 250,000 youth participating in free fitness programs and events nationally, including 125,000 in New York City’s five boroughs.

Our staff applies its passion for service to volunteer in local communities, adding value to the neighborhoods where we live, work, and run. Every year, over 250 employees fan out at a chosen location to weed, mulch, plant, paint, build picnic tables, and more.
Representing all fitness levels, our staff comes out to participate in the JP Morgan Corporate Challenge. This 3.5-mile event, part of a worldwide series, is focused on team building and invigorates our love of running.
There is no better way to celebrate National Walking Day than with our NYRR Striders. New York Road Runners offers free, coach-led walking sessions every week in senior centers, neighborhood facilities, and local parks.
Every summer, our staff gets the chance to kick back and enjoy each other’s company while participating in fun team-building activities. It’s one of the most memorable times of year!
We put on more than 50 events each year, and at every one, our staff exhibits our core values and cheers on runners of all abilities at the start, along the course, and at the finish.
