Rising New York Road Runners is designed to develop movement skills in kids of all ages and abilities through a mix of running and fitness activities. Here, kids build confidence, gain motivation, and fuel their desire to stay active.
Rising New York Road Runners is free and can be implemented in and out of school in NYC and nationwide.

A form exercise that teaches and reinforces efficient running technique.
A static stretch for the inner thighs, hips, and groin.

Speaking up in stride! This opportunity helps youth eager to explore public speaking improve their presentation and communication skills through workshops, then allows them to showcase their accomplishments through speaking engagements at special NYRR events including the TCS New York City Marathon.
A free, year-round opportunity for youth with physical disabilities ages 6-21, offering weekly training sessions, in-school resources, and competitive road and track events.
There’s nothing like a pair of brand new running shoes! Purchase a pair at the NYRR RUNCENTER featuring the NB Run Hub, and New Balance will donate another pair to a NYRR youth participant.
This free program for young women in 11th grade focuses on running technique, developing healthy body image, and goal setting. This exciting opportunity is designed for those who have not previously participated in organized sports and offers a $2,000 college scholarship to participants upon completion.
