On Sunday, June 4, 2023, NYRR relaunched Open Run at Lincoln Park in Jersey City. 71 community participants and volunteers of all ages and abilities got together to stay active. Fast racers, walkers, walkers with poles, kids, dogs… everyone got a workout in a welcoming environment.

LGBT Pride Month, an annual celebration of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender pride, honors LGBTQIA+ rights, celebrates LGBTQIA+ culture, and highlights the ongoing movement toward equality, diversity, and inclusiveness. This year the 42nd annual Front Runners New York LGBT Pride Run will take place on June 24.
Heart of Dinner, a nonprofit organization founded in New York City during the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, delivers home-cooked meals to AAPI elders in order to address food insecurity and isolation. We asked the founders, Yin Chang and Moonlyn Tsai about how they got started, what motivates them to keep going, and how others can get involved.
The start was once again located next to the Brooklyn Museum. Participants ran past the Brooklyn Botanic Garden and around Grand Army Plaza before entering Prospect Park.
Re-live the finish line celebration at Coney Island! Runners reunited with family and friends cheering them on at the After-Party at Maimonides Park where they relaxed with refreshments (like an ice-cold Michelob ULTRA), and enjoyed the live music and entertainment.
