4 Out of 6 Program Runners
Eligibility for entry to the 2020 United Airlines NYC Half will be guaranteed for NYRR members who have an active membership by the last qualifying event of the 2019 4 Out of 6 program (NYRR Staten Island Half in October), and who run four of the following six events in 2019:

- Popular® Brooklyn Half

Be sure to check your 4 Out of 6 status in your NYRR profile.
Runners who met the following qualifying-time standards* on any certified half-marathon or marathon course are also eligible for guaranteed entry:
* All times must be run at, or faster than, the posted time.
** Your age on the day of the 2020 United Airlines NYC Half.
Runners must have met the appropriate qualifying time between January 1, 2019, and when the application closes in the fall of 2019.
Times achieved outside of NYRR races must be verifiable online. If you are applying with a non-NYRR race qualifying time, you will be placed into the non-guaranteed entry drawing if your time cannot be verified or if you do not meet the qualifying time standards. The verification process takes a few weeks. Runners will be accepted on a rolling basis once times are verified. Runners do not need to reach out to NYRR to confirm application. All runners will be verified prior to the drawing.
***This method of entry is not available to handcycle or push-rim wheelchair applicants.
The 2020 United Airlines NYC Half charity program offers guaranteed entry to runners who pledge to raise funds for one of the event's official charity partners, including NYRR's Team for Kids. Join Team for Kids to get guaranteed entry, expert coaching, race-day transportation from Manhattan to the start in Brooklyn, and the opportunity to help keep kids healthy and fit.
Charities that are interested in becoming Official Charity Partners can find more information about the program and application process here.

Non-Guaranteed Entry Drawing
The 2020 United Airlines NYC Half brings together a diverse field of runners from the NYC area and beyond. The non-guaranteed entry drawing helps preserve the diversity of the race. The application period for the 2020 United Airlines NYC Half will take place fall 2019. Applicants will be permitted to submit only one entry for the drawing.
The entries available to non-guaranteed applicants will be filled through three drawings, one in each of the following applicant pools:
1. "NYC metro area" applicants (i.e. residents in and within 60 miles of New York City);
2. "National" applicants (i.e. U.S. residents outside of the NYC-metro area);
3. "International" applicants (i.e. non-U.S. residents, including Puerto Rico and other U.S. territories).
A drawing will be conducted within each applicant pool. To be selected, you must have provided a valid credit card, future expiration date, and authorization to charge. The provided credit card is charged when the applicant is drawn; if the charge is not approved, the applicant will be removed and another applicant will be drawn from the same applicant pool.
Once you submit the application into the non-guaranteed drawing, you have authorized NYRR to charge your credit card a nonrefundable entry fee upon acceptance into the 2020 United Airlines NYC Half. You can remove your name from the applicant pool prior to the drawing, but once you are accepted by any method, all fees are non-refundable and nontransferable. NYRR does not contact applicants prior to accepting them in order to reconfirm that they wish to be selected.
Handcycle and push-rim applicants should apply to the above drawings.
The rules applicable to the United Airlines NYC Half do not permit entry by a person intending to be pushed in a wheelchair, stroller or other piece of equipment by another person or persons. To be accepted for entry, "disabled" applicants planning to use a wheelchair or other allowable equipment must be able to "push" themselves through the half-marathon course. While official "guides" are permitted to accompany a disabled entrant on the course, such guides cannot push the entrant through the course.
If you are an athlete with a disability and have any questions regarding race entry, guides, or other circumstances please contact NYRR at email@example.com.
