Run with pride and show solidarity with the LGBTQIA+ community by participating in the 43rd running of the Front Runners New York LGBT Pride Run® 4M. The first Pride Run, held in Central Park in 1982, was a landmark race and marked the start of an enduring collaboration among Front Runners New York, New York Road Runners, and the City of New York. The race continues to celebrate LGBTQIA+ pride and the ongoing movement toward equality, diversity, and inclusiveness. The 2019 event broke the Guinness World Record for largest pride charity run with more than 10,200 finishers!

About Front Runners New York and This Year's Race Beneficiary

Front Runners New York is New York City’s premier LGBT running and multisport club. Founded in 1979, the club has grown to over 1,100 members, representing one of the largest LGBT athletic clubs in the world. Each year, Front Runners New York makes a donation to an LGBT-related nonprofit organization. Founded in 1994, this year's race beneficiary the Audre Lorde Project seeks to work with LGBTSTGNC people of color organizations and communities across differences of race/ethnicity, culture, gender, sexual, orientation, age, ability, and life experiences (e.g. class, immigration status, HIV serostatus, health status, etc.) in order to develop and implement culturally specific and effective programs and services reflecting the needs of our communities.

Why Race with New York Road Runners?

When you run with NYRR, you do more than compete in a world-class race—your support and participation play a role in fulfilling our mission to help and inspire people through running, and benefit NYRR’s free youth and community programs, including Rising New York Road Runners, NYRR Striders, Open Run, and more.
