Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers will support NYRR staff members at our Rising New York Road Runners youth track and field meet. Duties include - course marshal, corral marshal, handing out water, and measuring distances for field events. This is a +1 eligible volunteer opportunity for the 2024 9+1 Program for entry into the 2025 TCS New York City Marathon.

Volunteer support will be supporting volunteers by assisting in bag check, keeping volunteers hydrated, helping with line queuing at volunteer check-in and check-out, and assisting where needed. This is a +1 eligible volunteer opportunity for the 2024 9+1 Program to earn guaranteed non-complimentary into the 2025 TCS New York City Marathon. Volunteers will earn a guaranteed non-complimentary entry to the 2025 RBC Brooklyn Half.

Volunteers will distribute T-shirts to registered athletes, ensuring each athlete gets one T-shirt in their desired size. If lines get long, some volunteers may be asked to assist with line management in the T-shirt area. No bags of any kind; fanny packs, waistpacks, crossbody bags, purses, etc are allowed at this volunteer opportunity. Bag check will be available at volunteer check-in. Volunteers will act as ambassadors for NYRR: providing directions, answering questions, taking photos, and providing assistance as needed.
