Race-day lines may impact your ability to get to the start on time. Souvenirs are subject to availability; please note that souvenirs will not be available for pickup after the event.
On race day, pickup will be at Race-Day Central, located at the Ballfield 8 backstop in Central Park (near the 102nd Street Cross Drive), from 5:30 to 6:30 a.m. Please be sure to allow yourself enough time to get from Race-Day Central to the start.
If you're unable to pick up your race materials, a friend or family member can pick up for you; the person will need your QR code (printed or digitally). This policy is in effect only for our weekly races, and not for the TCS New York City Marathon.
Bag check, also located on the 102nd Street Cross Drive, will be open from 5:30 to 10:30 a.m
Miles 1, 7: Start on East Drive near 102nd Street and head north around the northern end of the park and the challenging Harlem Hills.
Miles 2, 8: Continue south on West Drive through a series of rolling hills, with the Reservoir on your left.
Miles 3, 9: Continue through a downhill and flat mile with a slight uphill as you approach the TCS New York City Marathon finish line (but from the opposite direction to the one that the marathoners approach it from).
Miles 4, 10: Continue south (and downhill) around the southern end of park; continue onto East Drive.
Miles 5, 11: Pass the 72nd Street Transverse and the Central Park Boathouse, and then ascend Cat Hill (74th Street to 78th Street) and continue to the Fred Lebow statue at Engineers' Gate (90th Street).
Miles 6, 12: Continue along a flat section, followed by a slight downhill, then another flat section as you approach the 102nd Street Transverse. On your second and final loop, turn left onto the Transverse and run to the finish.
Members of the NYRR Pace Team Presented by Biofreeze will guide participants toward specific goal times over the 12 miles. There will be signs in the corrals starting at 6:51 per mile. If you choose to run with a pace group, pacers—you’ll recognize them by the NYRR Pace Team Presented by Biofreeze logo and the green and blue chevron design—will carry signs that correspond with their respective finish times and paces.
