You’re not just an armchair quarterback. On February 3, get your own game on! Start the big day by testing your arm strength in the Longest Football Throw contest from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Bring your kids to enjoy the football fun, too! They can toss the ball to show up the adults.
Once you've proven your passing game, you can work on your running game with four miles in Central Park to burn off some pre-game energy. Wear your favorite team's jersey to show your spirit and vote with your feet for that night's champion at our prediction counter near the two-mile mark.
After competing with your arm and then with your legs, you’ll have earned that seat to watch the game!
Event hashtag: #NYRRGridiron—use it in your tweets, Instagrams, and Facebook posts!
Live unofficial results are available during the race at liveresults.nyrr.org and in the NYRR app. Features include leaderboards, map tracking, and an individual runner search that can be shared on Facebook and Twitter. Tell your friends and family to follow your progress, and because the system works great on mobile devices, you can get unofficial results right after the race!
A portion of this event's proceeds supports NYRR’s mission to help and inspire people through running, and benefits NYRR’s youth and community programs.
