Add Meaning to Your Miles with Team for Kids
NYRR Team for Kids is currently at capacity for the 2020 TCS New York City Marathon. For runners who already have entry, you can still train with Team for Kids to get race-day ready! Runners with entry can register and receive a reduced fundraising commitment of $2,100.
9+1 Program
NYRR members who met the 9+1 program requirements during 2019 were eligible to apply for guaranteed entry to the 2020 TCS New York City Marathon during the application window. The application period was open from January 30, 2020, through February 13, 2020.
Cancellation
Entrants who canceled their entry to the 2019 TCS New York City Marathon according to the cancellation guidelines were eligible to apply for guaranteed non-complimentary entry to the 2020 race during the application window, which was open from January 30, 2020, through February 13, 2020.
NYRR Virtual Racing
Runners who finished specific tiers of the TCS New York City Marathon Virtual 26.2M at specific levels, and meet fundraising requirements, were eligible to apply for guaranteed non-complimentary entry to the 2020 TCS New York City Marathon. The application period was open from January 30, 2020, through February 13, 2020.
Completed 15-Plus
Runners who finish their 15th New York City Marathon are eligible for guaranteed entry in future years. The application period for the 2020 TCS New York City Marathon was open from January 30, 2020, through February 13, 2020. This entry method is not available to handcycle applicants and other AWDs entered in past races through Achilles International.
Time-Qualifying Standards
Runners who met time standards during 2019 at specific NYRR races were eligible for guaranteed entry to the 2020 TCS New York City Marathon. The application period was open from January 30, 2020, through February 13, 2020. A limited number of spots were available to runners who met the time standards in a non-NYRR race. Entries for non-NYRR time qualifiers have reached capacity. Please note that even if you have already applied with a qualifying time, verification can take up to two weeks.
5K and 10K Memberships
Philanthropic Members of NYRR at the 5K and 10K level receive guaranteed entry to the TCS New York City Marathon among other annual benefits in thanks for their support of NYRR youth and community programming.
