NYRR Member-Only Second-Chance Drawing for the 2024 TCS New York City Marathon
Current members of New York Road Runners who meet the eligibility criteria and apply to the non-guaranteed general entry drawing will automatically be entered into the NYRR Member-Only Second-Chance Drawing.
9+1 Program
NYRR members who, in 2023, ran nine qualifying NYRR races and volunteered at one qualifying event, are eligible to claim guaranteed non-complimentary entry to the 2024 TCS New York City Marathon between February 21 - March 21, 2024. To be considered a member, you must have an active membership by December 31, 2023.
5K and 10K Memberships
NYRR Members at the 5K and 10K level receive guaranteed entry to the TCS New York City Marathon among other annual benefits in thanks for their support of NYRR's mission to help and inspire people through running.
Charities
Runners can add meaning to their miles and earn guaranteed entry to the 2024 TCS New York City Marathon by running with one of our official charity partners. Official charity partners for 2024 will be announced on March 28, 2024.
NYRR Team for Kids
Team for Kids is at capacity for the 2024 TCS New York City Marathon. Fundraisers get guaranteed entry, expert coaching and a virtual training platform, VIP race day perks, a TFK singlet, and the opportunity to help keep kids and communities healthy and fit. Registration opened on November 5, 2023 and is now full.
Cancellation in 2023
Entrants who canceled their entry to the 2023 TCS New York City Marathon according to the cancellation guidelines are eligible to claim guaranteed non-complimentary entry to the 2024 race during the guaranteed entry claim period (February 21 - March 21, 2024).
International Tour Operators
Non-US residents can book their marathon package with guaranteed entry through an Official International Tour Operator. Marathon packages can include hotel and/or flight to New York City.
NYRR Virtual Racing
Runners who registered for the Virtual TCS New York City Marathon (Guaranteed Entry) in 2023 and completed their virtual race gain guaranteed, non-complimentary entry to the 2024 TCS New York City Marathon. Finishers also received a Virtual TCS New York City Marathon finisher medal and keychain. Registrants receive access to a 60-day Strava subscription.
Completed 15-Plus
Runners who finish their 15th New York City Marathon are eligible for guaranteed entry in future years. These runners can claim their guaranteed entry during the claim period between February 21 - March 21, 2024.
Time-Qualifying Standards
Runners who meet time standards in 2023 at specific NYRR races are eligible for guaranteed entry to the 2024 TCS New York City Marathon. Runners who qualify at an eligible NYRR race can claim their guaranteed entry during the application period from February 21 - March 21, 2024. NYRR offers a limited number of entries to athletes who meet the time qualifying standards at a certified half marathon or full marathon race that is not held by NYRR. All athletes who meet the time qualifying standards are invited to apply, however submission of a qualifying time does not guarantee entry. Time-qualifying runners can apply for guaranteed entry during the Non-NYRR TQ application period which began on February 28, 2024 and closed on March 6, 2024 at 11:59 p.m.
