Rising New York Road Runners events are designed for every level of youth athletes, from younger runners new to the sport to competitive teen athletes looking to break the finish tape. Events are organized in three stages, each based on physical activity, competitiveness, and age, so everyone participates in events that best fit their comfort level.
In-Person Events: Stages and Registration
Rising New York Road Runners offers free, in-person youth events! For event dates and details, check out the NYRR Race Calendar. Rising New York Road Runners events combine structured running with fitness activities to give kids a fun and rewarding experience, so they want to continue to be active for the rest of their lives. Virtual Events
Rising New York Road Runners' events are also available through a series of free and fun Virtual Youth Events, including Virtual Challenges and Virtual Races. Virtual Challenges feature engaging games led by world-class athletes that the whole family, class, team, or school can do together. Virtual Races bring the excitement of race-day directly to kids, from the race bib to the finisher certificate.
