The Greatest Field of American Women Distance Runners in 50 Years

On Sunday, November 7, Olympic medalist Molly Seidel will lead a stellar field of American Olympians and Paralympians at the 50th running of the New York City Marathon.

Introducing this year's field will be Shalane Flanagan, the 2017 TCS New York City Marathon winner and an Olympic medalist herself, in this thrilling video that highlights these athletes' incredible performances in New York and around the world:

Along with Seidel—who won the bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics, becoming only the third American woman in history to medal in the Olympic marathon—the open field will feature 2020 U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials champion Aliphine Tuliamuk, 2012 Olympic silver medalist Sally Kipyego, 2020 U.S. Olympic Trials 10,000-meter champion Emily Sisson, and 2018 Boston Marathon winner and two-time Olympian Des Linden.

Five-time TCS New York City Marathon champion Tatyana McFadden, two-time champion Amanda McGrory, and three-time Mini 10K winner Susannah Scaroni will headline the wheelchair field.
