Heather Laurel
Heather loves everything about distance running: the glory, the pain, the elation, the occasional despair. She’s been running for a long time at a decidedly average pace (a proud “mid-packer!”) Heather has completed multiple marathons, half marathons, and hundreds of other races. She holds certifications through both the RRCA & USATF. A life-long student, she is constantly continuing her studies of the sport. Heather loves helping athletes of all levels reach their goals, but more importantly, she loves sharing her passion for the sport and watching others get hooked on running. When she’s not running, she’s singing, producing NYRR races, or planning her next half marathon.

The New York City Marathon is unforgettable, and the best marathon in the world. Same goes for the Brooklyn Half Marathon. But my favorite annual race is the New York Mini 10K. All women, lead by pro-runners, June in Central Park, a rich and important history… what could be better?
