RBC Brooklyn Half 2025: Lo mejor de Brooklyn
It’s time to apply or claim your guaranteed entry to the 2025 RBC Brooklyn Half, set for Saturday, May 17.
The third event in the 2025 NYRR Five-Borough Series, this race is a 13.1-mile journey through the best of Brooklyn, from Prospect Park to Coney Island. First run in 1981, it’s the original half marathon in the Borough of Kings, and one of the largest half marathons in the country.

An Epic Course
The RBC Brooklyn Half is an amazing tour of the Borough of Kings. The route starts at the Brooklyn Museum, loops around Grand Army Plaza, continues through Prospect Park, and heads down Ocean Parkway, culminating in the best part of all: a finish on the Coney Island boardwalk.
Along the way, the race takes in everything that makes Brooklyn special: tree-lined streets, diverse neighborhoods, parks, and monuments. Locals—including dozens of running clubs—come out to cheer.

Four Decades of History
The Brooklyn Half began in 1981 and has remained an iconic event ever since. From being run entirely in Prospect Park, to starting at Coney Island and finishing in the park, to its current inimitable route, the race’s four-decade history sets it apart.
It All Starts at the Pre-Party
The excitement begins at the RBC Brooklyn Half Pre-Party Presented by New Balance, a three-day festival on the Brooklyn waterfront where runners pick up their race materials amidst a party atmosphere and stay for authentic Brooklyn eats from local vendors, live music, fun activities, and shopping for official race gear.

Amazing Races for the Kids
