Get Ready to Apply to Run the RBC Brooklyn Half!

We’re thrilled to announce that the application for the 2022 RBC Brooklyn Half on May 21, 2022 will be open February 2-16, with an entry drawing to follow on February 23.

There’s so much excitement around this race through the streets of Brooklyn with a finish on the boardwalk in Coney Island. Three special things stand out about this year’s race:

1. For the first time, entry to this race will be through a drawing. This replaces the first-come, first-served registration process that’s marked the Brooklyn Half for much of its 42-year history. This change will create a more seamless application/entry method for our runners. All runners who apply to the drawing between February 2 and February 16 will be entered into the drawing; they’ll learn their entry status on drawing day, February 23. 2. We have a new title sponsor. This marks the first year of NYRR's new partnership with Royal Bank of Canada—read the details of this exciting new partnership here.

3. It’s been a long time since we've run this race together! This will be the first in-person running since 2019, as the race was virtual-only in 2020 and 2021 due to pandemic restrictions on large in-person events.
