Young Runners uses a team-based structure to help kids learn valuable lessons about how to set goals and make activity part of their daily lives. With the help of their coaches, students learn to run distances from 1 to 4 miles. While physically challenging, the Young Runners program is designed for children of all fitness and athletic levels in grades 3-12.

The 2015 Young Runner's Championship took place on Tuesday, June 16th at Icahn Stadium. Dark clouds lingered high above the stadium, but that did not stop the kids from shining their brighest. After a beautfiul rendition of the National Anthem from Natalie Dalm, the Young Runners headed to the starting line for the 5K race. After just over 17-minutes, the first boy crossed the finish line. This outstanding perfomance set the tone for the rest of the activites. Runners also competed in a 1-mile race and the Rosenberg Can Do Anything Two Mile Invitational Run. Check out some of the great action from the event!
