Application for the 2013 NYC Marathon closes in 1 DAY. Even if you have Guaranteed Entry, you must apply now.

NYRR Youth Jamborees are excellent places to learn about track and field. These free, day-long events are held three times a year in premier New York City athletic facilities, including the New Balance Track & Field Center at the Armory in upper Manhattan and the Icahn Stadium on Randall's Island. Children of all ages can participate in running, jumping, or throwing events--no experience necessary!
The next NYRR Youth Jamboree will be held on Sunday, May 5, 2013 at Icahn Stadium.
Full event details and registration forms are available here. For a black & white version, click here. Read a recap and see photos from the October Jamboreee here. Please note there will not be a Jamboree in March this year.
Youth Jamborees are divided by grade:
Jamborees are split into two sessions:
NYRR strongly recommends that you pre-register and send all the signed waiver forms with the cover page. You can pre-register by email, fax, or regular mail. Subject to demand, you can also sign up on-site at the Jamboree (see below for details).

We will confirm receipt within 48 hours. If you do not hear from us, please confirm by sending an email with the full name and school/team of all your youth participants to jamboree@nyrr.org or call (646) 758-9675. Bring copies of all the faxed/emailed registration forms to the Jamboree in case we do not have stickers for every child and need confirmation of parental consent.
Subject to demand, on the day of the Jamboree, registration forms will be available for parents to complete if they have not pre-registered their child(ren). Teams must have all forms filled out with parent/guardian signatures prior to coming to the registration table. Coaches' signatures will not be accepted under any circumstances.
Upon completion of their race or field event, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers receive ribbons corresponding to their place. All other finishers will receive participant ribbons.
Youth participants should wear clothes comfortable to run in: shorts or sweatpants, T-shirts, and sneakers. They will be provided a T-shirt at registration which they can wear that day. Spikes are NOT allowed.
There is a free parking lot located right outside Icahn Stadium. At the Armory, street parking near the facility may be difficult to find and may require paying for a meter. A good option is Riverside Drive just south of 165th Street. Private paid parking is at 165th Street and Fort Washington Avenue. Unfortunately, we cannot provide reimbursement for parking.
