These plans are built to ease you into running a full 5K and develop into more advanced workouts.

 
High School Beginner: 1-1.5 Miles

This plan is built to introduce you to running consistently and ease you into running a full mile to mile and a half at one time.

 

It is suggested and encouraged that you alternate between running and walking until you can run for the specified amount of time.

High School Beginner: 5K

This plan should be used to ease you into running a full 5K distance.

 

If you are new to running, it is suggested and encouraged that you alternate between running and walking until you can run for the specified amount of time.

This plan is built for the High School runner who has run 5Ks before, is currently running about 20 miles a week and can do speed workouts.
