Race Number Pickup

Numbers (which include your timing tag) may be picked up at the NYRR RUNCENTER at 320 West 57th Street (between Eighth and Ninth avenues) on the following dates:

  • Sunday, August 18, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. 
  • Monday, August 19, 7:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday, August 20, 7:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, August 21, 7:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, August 22, 7:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m.
  • Friday, August 23, 7:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, August 24, 8:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.

Show the QR code from your race confirmation email or your NYRR account to pick up your race materials. Please pick up during the week to avoid crowds on race day. Race-day lines may impact your ability to get to the start on time.

On race day, pickup will be at Race-Day Central at the Tortoise and Hare Statue from 7:30 to 9:00 a.m. Bag check, also located at the Tortoise and Hare Statue, will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.

If you're unable to pick up your race materials, a friend or family member can pick up for you; the person will need your QR code (printed or digitally). This policy is in effect only for our weekly races, not for the TCS New York City Marathon.

Detailed Route Info

Mile 1: Start on "The Flats" and head south along the cinder path. Turn left/east and pass the Van Cortlandt Mansion on the right, then turn left/north toward the Cow Path entrance. Enter the woods and run on a well-groomed trail that ascends as you continue north, and then make a sharp left uphill turn when you see the race marshal at the Tortoise and Hare arrow pole.

Mile 2: Continue uphill with several switchbacks to the top of Cemetery Hill. Watch your footing; there are railroad ties every few yards to help maintain the trail. Descend Cemetery Hill, again watching your footing. As the trail approaches the Henry Hudson Parkway, DO NOT continue straight to cross the bridge toward the Back Hills. Instead, turn left, heading back toward The Flats. When you reach the Flats, stay to the right on the cinder path.

Miles 3 and 4: Continue along the cinder path on The Flats and complete another full lap. You will finish a few hundred meters south of the start line, along the cinder path parallel to Broadway.
