- Both Men and Women
Join us on Thursday, June 20, for the Move NYC 5K, an inter-agency event created specifically for New York City employees. We look forward to welcoming staff from all corners of City government as we run, walk, and roll through Prospect Park.
Not feeling the full 5K distance? You can still get into the spirit of the day by volunteering for the race (click the volunteer link above) or cheer on participants all along the course. Everyone is welcome at the opening and closing festivities in the Nethermead. We can’t wait to see you out there on the course.
Race numbers (which include your timing tag) may be picked up at the NYRR RUNCENTER at 320 West 57th Street (between Eighth and Ninth avenues) on the following dates:
- Sunday, June 16, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
- Monday, June 17, 7:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m.
- Tuesday, June 18, 7:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m.
- Wednesday, June 19, 7:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m.
- Thursday, June 20, 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
On race day, number pickup will also be available at Race-Day Central in the Nethermead in Prospect Park from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. T-shirts, the souvenir for the race, can only be picked up on-site after the race.
The 3.1-mile course takes place entirely within Prospect Park.
Mile 1: Start on West Drive near Prospect Park Lake, and continue around the lake via East Drive.
Mile 2: Head north on East Drive, reaching the two-mile mark just beyond the hill near Grand Army Plaza.
Mile 3: Follow East Drive as it becomes West Drive. Near the end of mile three, continue down the hill and turn left toward the finish just inside of Center Drive.
Please note: There are no overall or age-group awards for this race.
Use the MTA Trip Planner to plan your race-day transportation. If you bike to the race, please follow our bike parking guidelines. Read the rules and safety guide for Prospect Park prior to race day. All race information is subject to change.
