The 2019 United Airlines NYC Half will take runners from around the city and the globe on a 13.1-mile tour of NYC. Led by a talent-packed roster of American and international elites, runners will stop traffic in the Big Apple this March!

Eligibility for entry to the 2019 United Airlines NYC Half is guaranteed for NYRR members who have an active membership by the last qualifying event of the 2018 Run Four Out of Six program (NYRR Staten Island Half on October 14), and who have run four of the following six events in 2018:

Members of the NYRR Pace Team Presented by Biofreeze will guide participants toward specific goal times over the 13.1 miles. There will be signs in the corrals starting at 6:51 per mile. If you choose to run with a pace group, pacers—you’ll recognize them by the NYRR Pace Team Presented by Biofreeze logo and the green and blue chevron design—will carry signs that correspond with their finish times and paces.

Please have your NYRR Member Number (available on your NYRR member card or in My NYRR) or download the NB App and show your Gold status at time of engraving. Can’t make it? Send a proxy to have your medal engraved; they’ll just need your NYRR member number.
Finishers who are not NYRR members can purchase an NYRR membership through their My NYRR account, and will be able to have their medal engraved after becoming an NYRR member. Visit our Membership page for more details on NYRR membership levels and prices.
Alternatively, runners can learn how to become a myNB Rewards Gold Member to receive free medal engraving.
Please note: All engraving will be done on-site; no drop-offs.
Check back closer to race day for information on the course, which will begin near Prospect Park in Brooklyn, before crossing the Manhattan Bridge, running through Times Square, and finishing in Central Park. Stay tuned for a timeline of wave starts, as well, to be released closer to race day.

Runners must pick up their race number, long-sleeved technical shirt, and bag-check bag at the United Airlines NYC Half Experience Presented by New Balance. Check back closer to race day for the Experience location, as well as a schedule of pickup dates and times.
Bibs will be assigned on demand. This means that you will not be assigned a race number until you pick up your bib at the Experience.
The 2019 United Airlines NYC Half finisher certificate will be available free of charge in both digital and print versions. Be on the lookout for a post-race communication from MarathonFoto with information about the finisher certificate.
Awards will be available to the top three men and women overall, as well as in age and gender groups as explained in this article. A list of all award winners will be posted in the results for each race.
