Volunteer Opportunities

We are looking for lactation consultants to help support our nursing parents running the race. Volunteers for this role will be placed at the following locations where lactation tents are: Start Course Tents Medical Volunteers cover all 26.2 Miles of the Marathon course and at post finish through out the day. Its a great opportunity to gain some experience, meet fellow medical professionals and be part of one of NYC's iconic events! Attending (1) one orientation session is required, you must select your desired orientation session when you apply. At our orientation we will cover what to expect on marathon day and answer all the questions you may have. Orientations last about 4hours and you are required to stay the full time in order to receive credit. You will also receive your race day ID, Marathon branded red jacket, t-shirt and commemorative pin at orientations. 2024 Marathon orientation dates are: Tuesday October 22, 2024 6:00P.M. Wednesday October 23, 2024 6:00 P.M. This is the TCS New York City Marathon Medical Volunteer registration role for members of the Central Park Medical Unit Only. The orientation for this role will be on October 15, 2024 at NYRR HQ 6PM. Please do not apply if you are not part of this group.
