Elías Cruz is a Rising New York Road Runners program lead and coach at MS 244 The New School for Leadership and Journalism in the Bronx, near where he grew up. “As a young man, my track team was always a home away from home,” said Elías. “It gave me one of the fondest memories of my youth. We went from being on a team to having lifelong friendships.”
