Brooklyn’s calling! Bring Coney Island to your own course, whether you are in New York City or across the globe. Take on 13.1 miles this spring with thousands of other runners between May 15 and May 23.
Runners who register for the Virtual Volvo Cars Brooklyn Half (Run for the Medal) and complete their virtual race will receive a medal shipped to their door anywhere in the world in a finisher package which also includes products from NYRR partners.1 Registrants will gain access to $20 off NYRR Coaching Lab Teams to train for their virtual half-marathon, as well as a 60-day Strava subscription.2
Run for the Medal tier registrants have no time limit to complete the 13.1 miles. However, runners must complete the full 13.1-mile distance in a single run activity during one calendar day and upload the activity to Strava. Please note: Your activity must be a GPS upload. Manual uploads, treadmill runs, and activities where friends have "tagged" you are not supported and will not be counted toward your result.

If you have already signed up for Run to Fundraise for NYRR Team for Kids, you will receive an invitation code 7 to 10 business days after you register. Once you receive your invitation code, you can complete your registration for the race on this page.

A virtual race is a race that can be run at your convenience during a specified period of time. To participate in NYRR Volvo Cars Virtual Racing Powered by Strava, create your free Strava account, sign up for a race, and run or walk the distance of the race using a GPS device wherever you are.
