Healthy Lunchtime Challenge & Kids' State DinnerOn your mark! Get set! Cook! The Healthy Lunchtime Challenge invites kids ages 8 to 12 and their parents to create a healthy original lunch recipe. One winner from each state will be awarded the opportunity to attend the Kids' "State Dinner," hosted by Mrs. Obama at the White House this summer. Spring Jamboree Pre-Registration Is ClosedPre-registration for the NYRR Youth Jamboree on Sunday, May 5 is now closed. Day of registration will open at 7:45am for elementary students and 11:00am for middle and high school students. Please note that student registration forms signed by a parent or guardian are required for day-of registration. Coach or teacher signatures are not accepted.

Young Runners Rock the GridironCoach Nicoletta Nerangis and Young Runners from PS 321 in Park Slope, Brooklyn had a blast at the NYRR Gridiron Classic 4-Miler. It was a cold day but students rejoiced over PRs in the morning and and later on that evening too, since most were rooting for the Baltimore Ravens to earn Superbowl glory in 2013. |

Young Runners Qualify For The Millrose GamesThe 106th Millrose Games will welcome two of our speediest relays on February 16. On the boys side, we have Zuma Guialdo, Raiden Guialdo, Grayson Aaje, and Noah Levitt from Manhattan’s MAT/PS 126M. The girls are represented by Qunizel Bazilio, Jada Kornegay, Amelia Wilson, and Keimon Redhead from Brooklyn’s Marketing Legal Studies. Both relay teams posted amazing times this season, qualifying them for the NYRR Youth 4 x 200 meter relay. The Millrose Games will be shown live on ESPN3 on February 16 and shown at 8-10 pm February 17 on ESPN. For tickets and additional info, click here. |

Summer Running CampWelcome Back! Tweny-six Young Runners returned from The Running Camp in Swan Lake, NY where they spent a week working on form, speed, cross training, and more, alongside kids from across the tri-state area. Summer camp scholarships will open again in the spring of 2013.
