Professional Development

Professional development workshops are available for free to schools in New York City. Created for P.E. teachers and led by NYRR coaches and staff, including Derrick Adkins, winner of the 400-meter hurdles at the 1996 Summer Olympics, these sessions demonstrate how to teach running fundamentals and skills that are lively, fun, and age-appropriate for kids of all fitness levels. E-mail Paul Hargrove at phargrove@nyrr.org to learn more or schedule a session.

If you're a Young Runners coach or Mighty Milers Site Coordinator, check your respective calendars frequently for professional development sessions created to enhance your practices and running sessions.
