Mighty Milers is all about encouragement! A variety of incentives year-round for students and teachers keep enthusiasm high.


Introduce kids to cross country running and sportsmanship with Young Runners. They’ll learn to run distances from 1 to 6.2 miles while training with a coach and teammates. This free program is designed for kids at all fitness levels.

NYRR Developmental Track & Field Series

The NYRR Developmental Track & Field Series is a free program for New York City public schools. Kids at all levels learn about track and field and compete in borough and city meets throughout the spring.

City Sports for Kids Track & Field

This four-week program gives kids of all ability levels expert instruction in track and field events including distance running, sprints, relays, hurdles, long jump, high jump, and javelin.

Youth Jamborees

These free one-day wellness events combine track and field events with a family health fair. Kids in grades K-12 are invited to enjoy activities including sprints, relays, long jump, and shot put.
