Welcome to My NYRR, New York Road Runners’ new registration system. This walkthrough will show you how to log in, create an account, register for a race or class, sign up a child for a race, and sign up to volunteer.
If you’re a member of NYRR or if you’ve participated in an NYRR event in the last three years, your account is already set up for you. Your e-mail address will now be your username. Reference the e-mail you received for password instructions. If you do not know your password, click the ‘Forgot Password’ link on the login screen.
If you’re new to NYRR, click the ‘Register Now’ button.
To create an account, you need to complete the one-time registration process.
Step 1: Fill in basic information. Remember, your email address will become your username so please make sure to record your selection. You must be 18 to register for an account with NYRR. If you are under 18, your parent can register for an account and sign you up for races.
Step 2: Please enter your contact information including your emergency contact and his/her primary language.
Step 3: Please enter your runner profile information including your running ability and T-shirt preferences, and agree to the race wavier and rules of competition.
Step 4: Please help us serve you better by telling us the races and programs you are most interested in.
Step 5: This step is optional. We would love to know more about you and your family. Once you’ve created an account, an e-mail will be sent containing a link. You must click the link in this e-mail to activate your account.
When you log in to your account, you will be taken to your dashboard, where you can review all the races and classes you are currently signed up for. On the left you will see the navigation bar, where you can click to register for races and classes, sign up to volunteer, check your membership status, or, if you are not a member, sign up easily for NYRR membership.
Click the ‘Registration’ button on the left-hand side of the screen. The navigation bar will open and you can choose ‘Races’ or ‘Classes’ to register for an upcoming event or class.
On the top of this page, you will see all the races you have already registered for. To register for additional races, click the ‘Add to Cart’ button next to each race. The races will be added to the shopping cart box in the upper-right-hand corner. Click the ‘Checkout Now’ button and proceed to checkout. Here you can choose to register for yourself, your child, or both.
When you select the ‘Classes’ link in the left-hand navigation bar (under ‘Registration’) you will be taken to the ‘Classes’ page where you can view upcoming classes with availability. Next, click ‘Add to Cart’ for the classes for which you’d like to register. On the right-hand side of the screen, click ‘Checkout Now’ to proceed to checkout.
Here you can choose to register for yourself, your child, or both. You must enter your projected pace per mile, and if you’d like to score for a club team select the team’s name from the dropdown. Click the ‘Save’ button to save your race information and complete the checkout process.
You will have to complete this process for every race you are registering for.
Click ‘Begin Checkout,’ ‘Continue Checkout,’ and then enter your payment information. You can save up to three credit card profiles to your account to expedite checkouts in the future. Once you place your order, you will see a confirmation screen and receive an e-mail with a summary of your transaction.
When you select the ‘Volunteer’ link in the left-hand navigation bar, you will be taken to the ‘Volunteer’ page. Under the heading ‘Volunteer for Weekly Races and Events,’ you will see upcoming volunteer opportunities with availability. Click ‘Volunteer’ for the event for which you’d like to volunteer. My NYRR will then guide you through a two-step process to register for the volunteer opportunity. Once you have completed registration, an e-mail will be sent confirming the details of the opportunity you selected.
Log in to My NYRR using the same username and password that you used to apply to the NYC Half.
