| June 26, 2010 The 29th annual Front Runners New York Lesbian and Gay Pride Run celebrated running and kicked of Pride Weekend for thousands of runners on a warm Saturday morning in Central Park. The 5-mile race featured an adidas technical T-shirt and free Equinox trial membership for each participant. A generous prize purse ensured a high level of competition in the open, masters, and veteran categories. After the race, runners cooled off with misting stations and Gatorade, and enjoyed raffle drawings, live entertainment, and mouth-watering rainbow popsicles. Race proceeds were donated to SAGE (Services & Advocacy for GLBT Elders), the world’s oldest and largest non-profit agency dedicated to serving lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender older adults. |
