NYRR BRiX Bike-Run

What is BRiX Bike-Run?

BRiX Bike/Run is an outdoor class that combines cycling and running with the goal of introducing multisport training techniques to runners seeking to achieve greater fitness. Each class includes instruction on multisport training, the principles of crosstraining, and their application to duathlon and triathlon competition.

BRiX workouts focus on base building and threshold training, timed duathlon simulations, cycling/running instruction, and bike-to-run transition techniques. Benefits include greater mental preparation, stamina, endurance, and building more confidence in finding a greater potential for multisport activity that can complement running and provide a competitive edge in both individual and multisport competition.

Now in its fourth season, BRiX training has proven to be a catalyst for participants to learn more about and participate in duathlon and triathlon events, where they have gone on to win awards in their various age-group categories.
