NYRR Pilates+ for Runners (formerly tilted IM=X Pilates)
What Is Pilates+ for Runners?
Pilates (puh-LAH-teez) is a physical and mental conditioning
program focused on improving flexibility and strength without
building bulk. It is based on the teachings of the German-born
physiologist Joseph H. Pilates, who opened New York City’s
first Pilates studio in the 1920s. Pilates+ for Runners offers athletes of all levels a means
to improve posture, lengthen muscles, and develop core abdominal
and back strength.
There will be no class on April 2nd or April 4th due to school closing for Spring Break.

Program Director
Melenie Small is a certified Pilates instructor, a graduate of the Swedish Massage Institute, a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and a USA Weightlifting coach. She also teaches the NYRR Runners Boot Camp class.
