New York Road Runners Professional Racing:
The Interviews

May 6, 2008 Update: Today we posted an interview with the Iowa State collegiate running star Lisa Koll, who recently set the American collegiate record in the 10,000 meters. Recently, we posted an interview with the American running legend and the current coach of Brigham Young University's men's cross country team, Ed Eyestone. He has many insights to share about coaching, his own running, and the possibilities for American distance runners, as we approach Beijing. Click on their names at the right to read these thought-provoking interview. Meanwhile, please don't forget to drop us a line and let us know what you think of these interviews and the new format. Your feedback means a lot to the runners and us!

The Professional Racing section of NYRR’s website has been expanded to include the athlete interviews. These interviews were previously posted on fast-women and mensracing, two sites that NYRR launched in 2001 to provide a window into the lives of top professional, collegiate, and high school distance runners and their coaches. Click here for women’s interviews and here for men’s interviews.

Professional Racing now presents these in-depth interviews, as well as runners’ journals, photo galleries, and race reports from world-class events at distances from 800 meters to ultramarathons.

Our coverage extends from prestigious New York-area events, such as Manhattan’s Continental Airlines Fifth Avenue Mile, to premier competitions throughout the world, like the IAAF World Championships in Athletics, the World Marathon Majors Series, and this year’s Beijing Olympic Games.

Interviews are listed at the right and are organized with the most recent interview first.
