NYRR Half-Marathon Series Presented by Continental Airlines

Runners are drawn to the challenging hills of Manhattan's Central Park for the first half-marathon of 2010. This first race of the series makes for a bracing start to the new year.
Course
All courses are subject to change. Check back here the day before the race for final confirmation.
The start is on West Drive at 63rd Street. Runners will complete two full counterclock wise loops of the Park. On the third loop runners will complete the southern loop of the Park and enter the 72nd Street Transverse from East Drive. The finish line will be at the eastern-most entrance to the Bandshell.

Number Pickup
Entrants are required to pick up their numbers, d-tags, and race souvenirs at New York Road Runners (9 East 89th Street) on:
· Thursday, January 21, 1:00-7:00 p.m.
· Friday, January 22, 1:00-7:00 p.m.
· Saturday, January 23, 11:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
· Sunday, January 24, 6:30-7:30 a.m.
On race day, t-shirts (ONLY) will be distributed in Central Park near the start from 6:45 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. Shirts will not be available after the race. Number pickup will not take place in Central Park.
Note: Participants must be at least 12 years old. PowerBar Gels will be distributed at pre-race registration ONLY (subject to availability).
Time Limit
Participants will be timed up to three hours. After that time, medical facilities and refreshments will not be available. Members who finish after three hours can receive credit toward qualifying for guaranteed entry to the ING New York City Marathon 2011 but will not have a time listed in the race results; e-mail results@nyrr.org to get credit for the race.

Baggage Facilities
Free baggage facilities will be provided as a convenience. If you are planning to use this baggage service, bring a single, inexpensive bag and leave your valuables at home. New York Road Runners is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Lost and Found
The Lost and Found is located in the volunteer tent on race day. Items can also be turned-in or claimed at NYRR's front desk on the next business day following the race.
Rules of Competition
All NYRR races are organized and directed under USA Track & Field rules and regulations. Entrants must also comply with City of New York, Parks & Recreation and NYRR rules. Failure to do so may result in offenders being disqualified and possibly banned from NYRR events, including the ING New York City Marathon. [Click here for rules.]
