Course
All courses are subject to change. Check back here the day before the race for final confirmation.
Start on Central Park’s East Drive at 102nd Street and head north. Complete three counterclockwise loops of the park. On the third and final lap, turn left/west onto the 102nd Street Transverse to the finish just west of East Drive. [Course Map]
Race Cap Information
To enhance the runner experience, and to better share Central Park with other park users, this race will be capped. NYRR will announce when registration has closed. Until that time, registration is available to all runners. [Race Cap Info]
Time Limit
Participants will be timed up to four hours. After that time, medical
facilities and refreshments will not be available and finishing times
will not count toward earning guaranteed entry to the ING New York City
Marathon 2010.
Note: Participants must be at least 12 years old on race day.
Number Pickup /Registration
Entrants are required to pick up their numbers and scoring tags in advance. Materials may be picked up at NYRR, 9 East 89th Street, on:
• Thursday, September 24, 1:00-7:00 p.m.
• Friday, September 25, 1:00-7:00 p.m.
• Saturday, September 26, 11:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Race day registration at NYRR (9 East 89th Street, New York City) on:

Due to the popularity of this race, we strongly encourage you
to register and check in prior to race day. No numbers or chips
will be given out after 6:45 a.m. on race day.

This is a scored race that counts toward the nine races NYRR members as of January 2009 need to be eligible for guaranteed entry to the ING New York City Marathon 2010.
Baggage Facilities
Free baggage facilities will be provided as a convenience. If you are planning to use this baggage service, bring an inexpensive bag and leave your valuables at home. New York Road Runners is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Rules of Competition
All NYRR races are organized and directed under USA Track & Field rules and regulations. Entrants must also comply with City of New York, Parks & Recreation and NYRR rules. Failure to do so may result in offenders being disqualified and possibly banned from NYRR events, including the ING New York City Marathon. [Click here for rules.]
Babystrollers / Babyjoggers are not permitted on the race course.
