Spectator Information
The NYRR Sprint Triathlon is an incredibly spectator-friendly event where fans can watch the swim, bike, and run. Because of the multi-loop bike and run courses, spectators can see their athletes at several points along the courses. Check out the course map.
On race day, follow the directions to the Aquatic Center at Flushing Meadows Corona Park; if you’re driving, parking is available in Flushing Meadows Parking Area Lot F.
To view the swim:
- Enter the Aquatic Center and take the stairs to the third floor.
- Spectators may sit on the bleachers, but are not allowed on the pool deck.
- After your athlete finishes the swim, you can watch him or her go through the transition area by exiting out of the front of the Aquatic Center, turning right, then walking behind the Aquatic Center and up the stairs.
To view the bike race:
- The bike course takes participants around Flushing Meadows Corona Park for three loops, which allows fans to see their athlete multiple times.
- Check out the course map to plan your viewing strategy.
- Please stay on the inside loop and remain off the pathway at all times.
To view the 5K run:
- The 5K run takes participants around Flushing Meadows Corona Park.
