The NYRR Half-Marathon Grand Prix Presented by Continental Airlines follows a longstanding tradition of welcoming runners to scenic, history-rich courses in New York City's five boroughs to race the popular half-marathon (13.1-mile) distance.
Every runner who completes at least four of the five races earns a commemorative patch, and those who run all five receive a certificate and special gift.
Additionally, runners who accumulate 20 or more points by placing overall or in their age group, who have completed at least two races in the series, and who have been an NYRR member for at least three months prior to the final race will be awarded prize money of $2 per point. Each race in the series also counts toward qualifying for guaranteed entry to the ING New York City Marathon.
