Almost 13 years since Fred Lebow’s passing, New York-area runners
pay tribute to the co-founder of the New York City Marathon with this annual
cross country event. This year the race is a team points race for men and women.

Location
Sign in at the Tortoise and Hare statue, 248th Street and Broadway. Bathroom facilities are available here. If traveling by bus or subway, please check www.mta.info for any service advisories affecting your plans.
Directions
By subway: Take the northbound IRT #1 train to 242nd Street (the last stop). Exit at the front of the station and walk north. If traveling by bus or subway, check www.mta.info for any service advisories affecting your plans.
By car: Take the Major Deegan to the Van Cortlandt Park South exit. Drive west to Broadway, and then north to 252nd Street. Park on Broadway (please do not double park). For a minimal fee, additional parking is available in the parking lot behind the stadium, by the Van Cortlandt Park South exit.
Number Pickup / Registration
Entrants are required to pick up their numbers and scoring chips in advance. Materials make be picked up at NYRR, 9 East 89th Street, on:
• Thursday, September 13, 1:00-7:00 p.m.
• Friday, September 14, 1:00-7:00 p.m.
• Saturday, September 15, 11 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Near the start at the registration tent on:
• Sunday, September 16, 10:00-11:00 a.m.
Entry Fee
$7 for adults, $5 for youth 14 and under.
No refunds, exchanges, or transfers on entry. No credit cards accepted after number pickup begins. Cash or check only.
Members: You must bring your NYRR membership card on event day to receive your member discount; otherwise you will be charged the non-member event fee.
Awards
Awards will be given to the top overall male and female finishers and to places 1-3 in the following age groups: 12-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, and 80+.

Rules of Competition
All NYRR races are organized and directed under USA Track & Field rules and regulations. Entrants must also comply with City of New York, Parks & Recreation and NYRR rules. Failure to do so may result in offenders being disqualified and possibly banned from NYRR events, including the ING New York City Marathon. [Click here for rules.]
