NYRR 8000—LATEST UPDATE IN BOLD

The NYRR 8000 will take place Saturday, March 17, in Central Park, with several weather-related adjustments. Please know that runner safety is the #1 concern driving our decisions about races:

- The start time has changed to 8:00 a.m. The USA Men’s 8K Championship, featuring the nation’s top male distance runners, has been postponed until tomorrow, Sunday, March 18, at 9:00 a.m.

- The NYRR 8000 will be a fun run. It will NOT be a club points race and will not be scored.

- Any registered entrant, whether he/she runs the race or not, will receive credit for the race as one of the nine races NYRR members as of January 2007 need to qualify for the ING New York City Marathon 2008.

Please come out tomorrow, Sunday, March 18, at 9:00 a.m. to watch the USA Men's 8K Championship.
