Haile Gebrselassie won the NYC Half-Marathon Presented by NIKE in stunning fashion on Sunday, August 5, completing the course in 59.24, more than a minute ahead of second place finisher Abdi Abdirahman. World Marathon Majors leader Robert Cheruiyot finished third. On the women's side, Hilda Kibet bested defending champ Catherine Ndereba and Nina Rillstone to win in 1:10:32.
