Update
Melanie Small, NYRR's Pilates and Runners Boot Camp Coach, will be leading pre-race warm-ups and stretching on race day. Got questions? Contact Melanie directly at: smallchanges@verizon.net
In addition, the event will feature special guests Mariel Hemingway and, singing the national anthem, broadway star, Jeanne Montano.
When
Sunday, March 25, 2007. Both races will begin at 8:00 a.m.
Where
Central Park, New York City
Who can participate?
Women who will be at least 40 by March 25, can participate in the full marathon as an individual OR participate in the half-marathon (13.1 miles each) with a female partner at least 12 years old.
Not yet 40?
Good news! You can still take part. Find a female friend over 40, and do the half-marathon as a two-person team. Half the work, but just as much fun!
Don't have a partner?
If you do not have a partner, New York Road Runners can match you with another runner. Alternatively, you can go to More® Magazine's message board to find a running partner. Partners do not need to run together or even know each other-however running and training with a partner is likely to enhance your experience.
Time Limit
The races will have a time limit of 6 hours, 30 minutes.* Walkers are welcome as long as they finish within the time allotted.
*This is the only NYRR half-marathon with this time limit. All other NYRR half-marathons have a 3-hour time limit.

Race Scoring
This is a scored race that counts toward the nine races NYRR members need to qualify for guaranteed entry to the ING New York City Marathon 2008. The race will be timed using the ChampionChip® system with full results available at www.nyrr.org. You must complete the race with your chip attached to your shoe or your time will not be recorded. Start mats will remain open approximately 10 minutes after the race start, after which net times will not be recorded. Please follow the instructions in your race packet on attaching the chip to your shoe and then returning the chip following the race. Note that you will be charged $30 if you do not return the chip within 20 days.

Rules of Competition
All NYRR races are organized and directed under USA Track & Field rules and regulations. Entrants must also comply with Parks & Recreation and NYRR rules. Failure to do so may result in offenders being disqualified and possibly banned from NYRR events, including the ING New York City Marathon. For the safety of all participants and to satisfy insurance requirements, no headphones, skates, strollers, or animals are permitted in NYRR events. Participant numbers must be fully visible at all times.
