You’re not just an armchair quarterback. On February 5, get your own game on! Start the big day by testing your arm strength in the Longest Football Throw contest starting at 8:00 a.m. Bring your kids to enjoy the football fun, too! They can toss the ball to show up the adults.
Once you've proven your passing game, you can work on your running game with four miles in Central Park to burn off some pre-game energy. Wear your favorite team’s jersey to show your spirit, and make your choice for the Big Game’s champion by running through your team's lane near the two-mile mark.
After competing with your arm and then with your legs, you’ll have earned that seat to watch the game!
Event hashtag: #NYRRGridiron—use it in your public tweets and Instagrams to be automatically entered into the NYRR Social Hashtag Challenge to win prizes!
Live unofficial results are available during the race at liveresults.nyrr.org. Features include leaderboards, map tracking, and an individual runner search that can be shared on Facebook and Twitter. Tell your friends and family to follow your progress, and because the system works great on mobile devices, you can get unofficial results right after the race!
