This race honors the late NYRR president and New York City Marathon co-founder, Fred Lebow (1932-1994). The course is two-plus loops of Central Park, which can be a challenge in January! Join the mid-winter fun and camaraderie—and perhaps kick off your training for a spring marathon. You'll have lots of good-spirited company, and you can enjoy classical music (Fred's favorite) at the start as well as inspiring Fred quotes along the course!
Event hashtag: #FLMH—use it in your public tweets and Instagrams to be automatically entered into the NYRR Social Hashtag Challenge to win prizes!
Live unofficial results are available during the race at liveresults.nyrr.org. Features include leaderboards, map tracking, and an individual runner search that can be shared on Facebook and Twitter. Tell your friends and family to follow your progress, and because the system works great on mobile devices, you can get unofficial results right after the race!
Eligibility for entry to the 2018 United Airlines NYC Half will be guaranteed for NYRR members who have an active membership by the last qualifying event of the 2017 NYRR Five-Borough Series (NYRR Staten Island Half in October), and who run four of the following six events in 2017: NYRR Fred Lebow Manhattan Half, United Airlines NYC Half, Airbnb Brooklyn Half, NYRR Queens 10K, New Balance Bronx 10 Mile, and NYRR Staten Island Half.
NYRR Members: Join us at the NYRR RUNCENTER the day after the NYRR Fred Lebow Manhattan Half for complimentary finisher medal engraving! Please have your NYRR member number (listed on your NYRR member card or in My NYRR) available at time of engraving.
Can’t make it Monday, January 23? Send a proxy to have your medal engraved; they’ll just need your NYRR member number.
Please note: Only 2017 NYRR Fred Lebow Manhattan Half medals will be engraved and all engraving will be done on-site; no drop-offs.
