Celebrate traditional and contemporary Japanese culture at this four-mile race in Central Park, now in its 11th year. The race and accompanying kids' races are part of Japan Day @ Central Park, which starts immediately after the Japan Run and features a variety of Japanese food, activities, and stage performances over the course of the day.
Event hashtag: #JapanRun—use it in your tweets, Instagrams, and Facebook posts!
Live unofficial results are available from New York Road Runners during the race at liveresults.nyrr.org. Features include leaderboards, map tracking, and an individual runner search that can be shared on Facebook and Twitter. Tell your friends and family to follow your progress, and because the system works great on mobile devices, you can get unofficial results right after the race!
