Pack your kilt and running shoes—it's time for the 13th annual Scotland Run! As part of #scotweek, you're invited to bring your tartan, dress up, and join the fun at this 10K in Central Park. You'll run to the sounds of bagpipes and a park full of cheering spectators.
Event hashtag: #ScotlandRun—use it in your public tweets and Instagrams to be automatically entered into the NYRR Social Hashtag Challenge to win prizes!
Live unofficial results are available during the race at liveresults.nyrr.org. Features include leaderboards, map tracking, and an individual runner search that can be shared on Facebook and Twitter. Tell your friends and family to follow your progress, and because the system works great on mobile devices, you can get unofficial results right after the race!
The course is slightly more than one lap of Central Park’s six-mile loop.
Mile 1: Start on West Drive near 62nd Street and head north; there is a moderate uphill near the end of the first mile.
Mile 2: Continue through a series of rolling hills as you pass the Reservoir.
Mile 3: Pass the 102nd Street Transverse on your right and ascend, then descend Harlem Hill; continue past Lasker Rink.
Mile 4: Climb another hill as you run south on East Drive; pass the 102nd Street Transverse again and climb a small hill. At the four-mile mark, you'll see the bronze Fred Lebow statue on your right.
Mile 5: Continue south and pass the Metropolitan Museum of Art on your left and Cleopatra's Needle on your right. Descend Cat Hill (the Still Hunt statue will be on your right) and climb a slight rise right at the five-mile mark.
Mile 6: Pass the 72nd Street Transverse and continue around the bottom of the park to the finish at 67th Street on West Drive; this is also the TCS New York City Marathon finish line!
