This race honors Ted Corbitt (1919-2007), the first president of New York Road Runners, the first African American to compete in the Olympic marathon, and an ultramarathon pioneer who ran more than 200,000 miles in his lifetime!
Event hashtag: #TedCorbitt15K—use it in your tweets, Instagrams, and Facebook posts!
Live unofficial results are available during the race at liveresults.nyrr.org. Features include leaderboards, map tracking, and an individual runner search that can be shared on Facebook and Twitter. Tell your friends and family to follow your progress, and because the system works great on mobile devices, you can get unofficial results right after the race!
Start on East Drive south of 102nd Street and head north to the 102nd Street Cross Drive. Turn left, cross the Transverse, then turn left again onto West Drive. Run south to the 72nd Street Transverse; turn left and cross the Transverse to East Drive. Turn left and head north, past the start.
