NYRR Staten Island 5K

Want to be part of the fun on Staten Island without running 13.1 miles? Check out the NYRR Staten Island 5K, a special race that's perfect for beginners and experienced runners alike. You’ll enjoy stunning views of Manhattan and finish in Richmond County Bank Ballpark—just like the half-marathoners!

Please note: This race is not part of our four-out-of-six program for the NYRR Five-Borough Series. There are no finisher medals for this event. Runners cannot register for both the NYRR Staten Island Half and the NYRR Staten Island 5K.

Event hashtag: #NYRRSI5K—use it in your tweets, Instagrams, and Facebook posts!

Live unofficial results are available during the race at liveresults.nyrr.org. Features include leaderboards, map tracking, and an individual runner search that can be shared on Facebook and Twitter. Tell your friends and family to follow your progress, and because the system works great on mobile devices, you can get unofficial results right after the race!

Kids' Races

Activities begin at 10:30 a.m. and offer kids ages 2 through 12 the chance to run and finish at home plate in Richmond County Bank Ballpark! Kids' races are free of charge, but sign up in advance in order to secure a spot. On race day, number pickup for the kids' races will begin at 10:00 a.m.

Please note that parents/guardians of children ages 5 and older will not be permitted on the field; all parents should meet their children after their races in the reunion area and must have the claim tag located on the bottom of their bib number. No child will be released to an adult without a claim tag.

Check out our guidelines for NYRR kids' races before race day.

Race-day pickup will be on the concourse of the Richmond County Bank Ballpark, at the main entrance off of Richmond Terrace from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. Bag check, located on the outfield warning track at Richmond County Bank Ballpark, will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. If you wish to check a bag, please allow additional time for that as well as security.

If you're unable to pick up your race materials, a friend or family member can pick up for you; the person will need your QR code (printed or digitally) and will need to know your T-shirt size. This policy is in effect only for our weekly races, not for the United Airlines NYC Half or the TCS New York City Marathon.
