Based on this weekend's severe weather forecast, and in consultation with our NYC agency partners, we are cancelling this event.
Read on for more information.
Registered runners can choose between two options, which will be sent to them via email:
A) Receive 9+1 and Four out of Six credits
B) Receive complimentary entry to one of the following races, as space permits:
You will receive your credits OR your invitation code for your race choice on Tuesday, February 2.
Whichever option you choose, you may pick up your NYRR Fred Lebow Manhattan Half hat and medal at the NYRR Running Annex from 11:00 to 5:00 p.m. starting Monday, January 25. The Annex will remain open until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 28. The Annex is closed this weekend and next weekend.
We won't need your volunteer services for this event, but you will receive your +1 credit. Thank you for signing up to volunteer, and please volunteer with us again soon.
We appreciate your understanding.
Live unofficial results are available during the race at liveresults.nyrr.org. Features include leaderboards, map tracking, and an individual runner search that can be shared on Facebook and Twitter. Tell your friends and family to follow your progress, and because the system works great on mobile devices, you can get unofficial results right after the race!
Event hashtag: #FLMH—use it in your public tweets and Instagrams to be automatically entered into the new NYRR Social Hashtag Challenge to win prizes!
If this race becomes an unscored run, all registered entrants who are NYRR members will receive 9+1 credit, even if they do not participate in the run. Volunteers will be required to complete their assignment in order to receive their +1 credit. This event will also still count as part of members’ 4 out of 6 program for guaranteed entry to the 2017 United Airlines NYC Half.
Eligibility for entry to the 2017 United Airlines NYC Half will be guaranteed for NYRR members who have an active membership by the last qualifying event of the Five-Borough Series, the 2016 Staten Island Half (Oct. 9), and who run four of the following six events in 2016 (Fred Lebow Manhattan Half, United Airlines NYC Half, Airbnb Brooklyn Half, Queens 10K, Bronx 10-Mile, and Staten Island Half).
The course is two-plus loops of Central Park. The start is on West Drive near 63rd Street. You’ll complete two full counter-clockwise loops of the park, after which you’ll start a third loop and turn left onto the 72nd Street Transverse just past the 13-mile mark. The finish line is on the Transverse at the easternmost entrance to the Naumburg Bandshell area. Major uphills are at approximately 1.5, 3.5, 4.5, 7, 9.5, and 10.5 miles.
There are two full aid stations (with both water and Gatorade), each of which you’ll pass twice. Three additional stations provide water only. See the course map for locations.

Please note that the NYRR Running Annex is closed on Monday, January 18, in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
Please pick up early in the week to avoid crowds. On race day, pickup will be at Race-Day Central in Central Park, near the Naumburg Bandshell area below the 72nd Street Transverse, from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. If you pick up on race day, please be sure to allow yourself enough time to get from Race-Day Central to the start.
If you're unable to pick up your race materials, a friend or family member can pick up for you; the person will need to know your full name and date of birth. This policy is only for our weekly races, not for our marquee events.
Bag check, located in front of the stage at the Naumburg Bandshell area, will be open from 6:30 to 11:30 a.m. If you wish to check a bag, please allow extra time for bag check and security.
Awards will be available to the top three men and women overall, as well as in age and gender groups as explained in this article. A list of all award winners will be posted in the results for each race.
