General entry to this race has sold out, but you can still get a spot when you register to run with Team for Kids. Sign up today!

Boogie down in the Bronx with a 10-mile race through this vibrant New York City borough. With a new race title sponsor this year, the New Balance Bronx 10 Mile promises to be an even bigger and better event for all runners, their friends, and their family.

And friends and family don't need to wait on the sidelines, either: Bring them out for the New Balance Bronx 5K, so they can start the morning off with a quick 3.1 miles.

The 2016 New Balance Bronx 10 Mile is part of NYRR's Five-Borough Series: Run New York. Five Boroughs. One City. The NYRR Five-Borough Series showcases our renewed commitment to the individuals and communities in each borough. More than just five races, the Five-Borough Series—the United Airlines NYC Half, the Airbnb Brooklyn Half, the Queens 10K, the New Balance Bronx 10 Mile, and the Staten Island Half—is a celebration of what makes each borough unique, inspiring, and an amazing place to get out and get moving!

Experience all that the Bronx has to offer while you’re in the borough for the New Balance Bronx 10 Mile! Visit nycgo.com for official information about Bronx restaurants, shops, nightlife, and sporting events as well as exclusive deals and offers.

Please note: Runners cannot register for both the New Balance Bronx 10 Mile and the New Balance Bronx 5K.

Event hashtag: #NBBronx10M—use it in your public tweets and Instagrams to be automatically entered into the NYRR Social Hashtag Challenge to win prizes!

Tell us your story! What or who is motivating you to run the New Balance Bronx 10 Mile this year? Why is the Bronx special to you? Use this form to share your unique story and you could be featured on NYRR's social media channels.

MTA Update: Please note that the 2 train will not be running in the Bronx on Sunday, September 25. Runners who were planning to take the 2 from Manhattan and then transfer to the 4 should take the D instead. See mta.info and MTA Weekender for additional updates as the race approaches.

Live Results

Live unofficial results are available during the race at liveresults.nyrr.org. Features include leaderboards, map tracking, and an individual runner search that can be shared on Facebook and Twitter. Tell your friends and family to follow your progress, and because the system works great on mobile devices, you can get unofficial results right after the race!

Run Four Out of Six

Eligibility for entry to the 2017 United Airlines NYC Half will be guaranteed for NYRR members who have an active membership by the last qualifying event of the 2016 NYRR Five-Borough Series (Staten Island Half on October 9), and who run four of the following six events in 2016: Fred Lebow Manhattan Half, United Airlines NYC Half, Airbnb Brooklyn Half, Queens 10K, New Balance Bronx 10 Mile, and Staten Island Half.

Youth Field Day

Kids ages 4-18 are invited to participate in the Youth Field Day at the New Balance Bronx 10 Mile, held from 8:00 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Macombs Dam Park. The event is free of charge, but sign up in advance to secure a spot.

Kids will rotate through activities, including a noodle jav, long jump, bean bag relay, and hurdles. Completing all five activities will take approximately 45 minutes, so please plan accordingly. Children can also participate in each activity as many times as he or she would like.

All participants will receive bib number to wear at the event, along with a special souvenir to take home. This event is unscored and there are no awards.

Course Info

The New Balance Bronx 10 Mile starts on the Grand Concourse between and McClellan and 167th streets, and finishes on East 161st Street near Macombs Dam Park and Yankee Stadium.

Miles 1–4: Start by heading North on the Grand Concourse. At about 3.5 miles, turn left onto Mosholu Parkway. At the four-mile mark, near Goulden Avenue, make a U-turn on Mosholu Parkway heading east towards the New York Botanical Gardens. After reaching the Botanical Gardens, head west on Mosholu Parkway, back toward the Grand Concourse.
Mile 5: Continue west on Mosholu Parkway until you reach the Grand Concourse, where you will turn left.
Mile 6–9: Continue south along the Grand Concourse.
Mile 9–10: Pass the starting line and continue past Joyce Kilmer Park. At East 161st Street, turn right and follow the road toward the finish line.

Time Limit: Please keep in mind that this course does have a time limit of 2 hours and 17:30 minutes. In the interest of safety, any participant who is unable to maintain a 13:45-per-mile pace throughout the race (2:17:30 projected finishing time) will be picked up along the course, starting at approximately mile 6, and transported to the finish. The time it takes for the last runner to cross the start line will be added to the overall 2:17:30 time limit, ensuring all participants a 13:45-per-mile pace. NYRR thanks you in advance for your cooperation with this policy.
