The Airbnb Brooklyn Half, the largest half-marathon in the country, is an iconic 13.1-mile journey through the amazing borough of Brooklyn. The race starts near the Brooklyn Museum and ends with a finish like no other on the Coney Island boardwalk.

Eligibility for entry to the 2017 United Airlines NYC Half will be guaranteed for NYRR members who have an active membership by the last qualifying event of the Five-Borough Series, the 2016 Staten Island Half (October 9, 2016), and who run four of the following six events in 2016: Fred Lebow Manhattan Half, United Airlines NYC Half, Airbnb Brooklyn Half, Queens 10K, Bronx 10-Mile, and Staten Island Half.
Cheer on the kids as they get the chance to take on the Coney Island Boardwalk, one of Brooklyn’s most iconic spots. It's a one-mile race, and all kids will receive an official souvenir. Stick around and celebrate together in Brooklyn afterward.

We'll welcome you to Brooklyn at the Airbnb Brooklyn Half Pre-Party Presented by New Balance, with heaps of Brooklyn flavor, on Wednesday, May 18, through Friday, May 20, at Brooklyn Bridge Park, Pier 2. Registrants must pick up their bibs and New Balance tech T-shirts at the Pre-Party. A celebration of all things Brooklyn, it will be open to the public and will feature official New Balance merchandise.

Be sure to stop by MCU Park after the race to celebrate your accomplishment and enjoy some food, music, and festivities with fellow runners and friends at the Airbnb Brooklyn Half After-Party.
Live unofficial results will be available during the race at liveresults.nyrr.org. Features include leaderboards, map tracking, and an individual runner search that can be shared on Facebook and Twitter. Tell your friends and family to follow your progress, and because the system works great on mobile devices, you can get unofficial results right after the race!

A small number of entries is available for faster athletes who wish to run the 2016 Airbnb Brooklyn Half. Athletes meeting the “A” standard (men: 1:05:00; women: 1:15:00) are eligible for complimentary entry to the race. Athletes meeting the “B” standard (men: 1:08:00; women: 1:20:00) are eligible for non-complimentary entry into the race. Performances must have been achieved between January 1, 2015, and April 1, 2016.
Qualified athletes should contact Sam Grotewold (firstname.lastname@example.org) by April 1, 2016. Please note that this program is for entry and starting position only; hotel/travel assistance, special hospitality, and other considerations are not available.
Start near the Brooklyn Museum and run past the Brooklyn Botanic Garden and around Grand Army Plaza before entering Prospect Park. After a loop around the park, exit from the southwest corner onto Ocean Parkway and cruise toward world-famous Coney Island for a triumphant finish on the boardwalk.
Your race-weekend experience will start at the Airbnb Brooklyn Half Pre-Party Presented by New Balance at Pier 2, 150 Furman Street in Brooklyn. Pick up your race materials, including your race number (which includes your timing tag) and the official bag that you can use to check your race-day clothing. The Pre-Party will be held on Wednesday, May 18, Thursday, May 19, and Friday, May 20.

Bib pickup will be in Brooklyn. Please note there will be no race-day pickup.

Awards will be available to the top three men and women overall, as well as in age and gender groups as explained in this article. A list of all award winners will be posted in the results for each race.
The top three overall awards for men and women will be presented to those runners. Age-group awards will be available after the race, details TBD.
All finishers will receive a medal.

Athletes who have been suspended for doping by a governing body are not eligible to participate in, and should not apply for entry in, NYRR races. Extenuating circumstances may be reviewed by the NYRR Race Director.
